Straight

Scottish Шотландцы

When breeding Scottish Fold cats, some kittens in the litter are born with regular, upright ears, even though they carry the fold gene, which doesn't manifest in their appearance. Although these cats don't resemble Scottish Folds, they inherit all the same positive traits and personality qualities.

Typically, at least one folded-ear kitten is present in each litter. However, it's impossible to determine how many Scottish Folds are in the litter on the first day after birth, as the breed has a unique characteristic: their ears only begin to fold and curl on the 21st day after birth.

It is only after this point that you can confidently tell how many folded-ear kittens are in the litter, distinguishing between Folds and Straights.
